i'd put making a show of calling the cops just less upfront than carrying her own gun to threaten the girl (which also happens in california).

the hell's angels (openly white supremacist biker gang) formed in oakland. last year, someone close to them tried to run over black kids on bikes with her truck but was stopped by two men before driving off.

whole towns have been annexed with deeds barring sale to any black or brown people, volunteer police enforce sundown towns.

poc caught in groups of >=3 get automatical placement in the gang database, for life. there are street corners where we cannot stand, in every city

@rocket @amphetamine My old high school had that "groups of 3+" rule. Apparently they'd line you up on a wall and take your picture, and label you as a 'possible gang'.

@somarasu @amphetamine and if they decide you're family has multigenerational gang affiliation you're pretty much born into the classification and subject to state surveillance your entire life. any arrests made get an automatic gang enhancement And you'll get sued by the city on top of that.
